About the event
“Buddhism is not a religion but rather, a way of life - the challenges of being alive”
Looking for connections in our lives with the return of Master Tan: a freeform discussion and Q&A session
A chance to share life experiences, connect to others, and connect to Dharma (Bhudda’s teachings, or Thamma in Thai).
This open discussion will touch on the relevant aspects of Dharma which can influence how we respond to the experiences life brings us.
We are delighted and grateful to welcome our Master to our lovely village again. His life’s journey, through his learning and practice of ancient arts of Traditional Thai Medicine for body, mind and soul, has led him to the conclusion that we can cope and live with any obstruction in life.
So, bring your questions, bring your topics, and be my guest.
Last year’s participants said…
“What does that mean I asked myself.... Knowing that Tan is Moonie and Nan's Master I think I expected a religious gathering …with meditation possibly... How wrong was I...
When Tan opened by using an example from a previous group, saying a lady had been bullied over 40 years ago and her pain still hurts, this gave me an indication as to what he was wanting us to discuss. Listening to the other members of the group explain how they deal with difficult situations in their lives was interesting and Tan's advice wasn't what I expected, his stories were extremely humorous which lightened the evening. I do realise that Buddhism is a life style maybe more than a religious choice. I know very little about it but when Moonie or Nan are working on my body, I feel so connected. Thank you so much for including me”
